Dan Hanley is the Director of STEM Education Research and Evaluation at Western Washington University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Colorado-Boulder in Educational Psychology and Research/Evaluation Methodology. Over the past twenty years, he has developed and conducted numerous evaluations and studies for the National Science Foundation, Department of Education, the Navy, Colorado’s Department of Education, and Washington State’s Department of Education (OSPI). As a Fulbright Scholar to Norway in 2001, he examined Norway’s system of school-based evaluation. Dr. Hanley’s research interests include STEM educational reform in P-12 and higher education settings, as well as inservice and preservice STEM teacher preparation.
