Dr. Alejandro Acevedo-Gutiérrez Named AAAS Honorary Fellow
SMATE proudly congratulates Dr. Alejandro Acevedo-Gutiérrez, dually appointed in Western Washington University’s Biology Department and the SMATE Program, on his election as an AAAS Honorary Fellow. This prestigious recognition, awarded by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), honors individuals for their outstanding contributions to science, education, and public engagement.
Dr. Alejandro Acevedo-Gutiérrez is recognized for his distinguished contributions to marine ecology and science education, including his research on marine mammals in their natural environments and his dedication to enhancing science education.
